Four years ago I had the privilege of writing the score and doing the arrangements for a musical, ‘Jackson’ for director/producer J.F. Lawton. This film featured 7 opera arias that I chose to record and arrange in very unorthodox ways. Some transposed female arias to male, others made use of a rock band (Remy Zero) while others were doused in beds of electronica. The film also featured my original orchestral score. The main theme was influenced by one of my favorite composers, the great Italian, Nino Rota, who scored most of Federico Fellini’s films. All in all, I would have to say this is my favorite film score I have ever written. Now, I am very excited and happy to announce that the score will be released in it’s entirety on Warrant Records, spring 2013. Stay tuned!
